Good Commenatry

I purchased this book to use in my daily Bible studies, and so far I have read through about one-half of the Acts commentary. Each of the three books covered, Acts, Romans, and 1 Corinthians, has commentary from a different writer. So I'm not sure how the other two will compare with Acts. The commentator has brought out some interesting points,and has balanced historical information with life application very well.
I have commentaries and Bible study books by other authors, and having bought the Broadman commentary on Matthew and Mark a few years ago I wanted to explore another in the series, and I have not been disappointed. I like reading the perspectives of writers from a different period, and this book was published around 1970, which is when most of the Broadman commentaries were published, I believe.
Based on what I have read so far, I give the book 5 stars, and recommend it to anyone wanting a conservative approach to studying God's Word.

One of the best Bible Commentaries

The book is easy to read and understand. Very thorough in its explanation of the culture and times during which the Books were written. Does not shy away from controversy. Does mention some opposing or critical views.
